These terms govern your use of 8(a) Digest, published by 8(a) Digest, a sole proprietorship. By subscribing to or reading this publication, you agree to them.
What this is
8(a) Digest is a weekly publication covering federal 8(a) set-aside and sole-source contracting. Free readers receive part of each issue. Paid members receive the full issue and the archive.
Subscriptions and billing
Price. Membership is $39 per month or $390 per year.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annual, at the rate you are paying, until you cancel. Your card is charged on the renewal date without further action from you.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not end your current period: you keep full access through the end of the period you already paid for.
Refunds. Payments already made are not refunded, because cancelling leaves your access intact until the period you paid for runs out. If something has genuinely gone wrong, email us and we will sort it out.
Price changes. The advertised founding rate is a commitment we intend to keep. If you subscribe at the founding rate, that rate continues for as long as your subscription stays active and uninterrupted, even after the published price rises for new members. If we ever change the price for existing members, we will give at least 30 days notice by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does. Letting a subscription lapse and starting a new one later means the rate current at that time applies.
What you can do with the content
Your subscription covers you and the people inside your firm. Share issues internally, forward them to colleagues who work with you, and use what is in them to pursue work. That is what it is for.
What you may not do is republish issues publicly, resell access, share your login outside your firm, or feed the content into a product or service you sell to others.
Your account
Keep your login to yourself and your firm. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

Summaries, fit notes, and deadlines are editorial interpretations of public SAM.gov data. THE PUBLICATION IS PROVIDED AS IS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING AS TO ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Always verify every detail, including deadlines, set-aside type, NAICS code, and eligibility, against the official record on SAM.gov before responding to any opportunity. The official record governs. We do not.

Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS PUBLICATION IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST CONTRACTS, MISSED DEADLINES, BID OR PROPOSAL COSTS, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations, in which case they apply to the greatest extent the law allows.
Ending the arrangement
You can cancel at any time, as described above.
We may suspend or end an account that redistributes the content, resells access, or shares credentials outside the subscriber's firm. If we do that, we will refund the unused portion of the current period.
We may also stop publishing. If that happens, active paid subscriptions will be refunded for the unused portion.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that materially affects your rights, the date at the top will change and paid members will be told by email before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
